Do you sell equipment for people who are over the normal weight limit specified on Scooters?
Yes. Our scooters go up to a 500 lb. weight capacity. We also have wide seats and the Twosome scooter which has a seat built for two.
Can you explain the best way to care for the batteries in my unit?
If you charge your equipment at night, it should be fully charged in the morning and ready for use with your full driving time. This should get you through the day with no problem. If you do not use your equipment for a long period of time, you should still charge it at least once a month. If your batteries go completely dead, the charger will not come on and you may need to put some charge into the batteries with another source until your scooter charger comes on. If your batteries stay dead for a long period of time, it can ruin them. The older your batteries get, the shorter your driving time. The average life expectancy of your batteries is 2 to 5 years.
What about sales tax on the Palmer Mobility Scooters?
We do not charge sales tax on any of our products to anyone outside of Florida.
